Brighton and Hove Social is a private members club formerly known as 'Brighton & Sussex IVC'. It is affiliated to AIVC, a national association of local IVC organisations.
You can join our club via our Meetup Group, or directly.
The aim of our Meetup Group is to encourage new members to try out our events before they join our club. You are welcome to attend three events for free, then we ask you to take out full club membership which costs £10 per year (February renewal).
Membership gives you access to our full programme, and to AIVC events held nationwide. You are also allowed to attend events held by other clubs affiliated to AIVC.

The small print
As part of their application, all members of our Brighton and Sussex Meetup Group must put up a picture of themselves and a first name (not an initial or alias please). If you have particular reasons why this is not possible, please message.
We also ask you to verify your identity by sending an email to meetup@brightonsussexsocial.org.uk
Our Club does have a Code of Conduct (available on request). Meetup Group-only and full members have to agree to abide by our Code of Conduct as a condition of membership. The main principles of the Code include having zero tolerance for any discrimination, and always treating each other with respect.
Our event organisers are volunteers, and their efforts should always be appreciated. This includes notifying them well in advance of any change in your plans to attend their event, especially where 3rd party bookings and reservations are involved. Club and Meetup Group members who breach the code of conduct will be asked to leave.
Please be aware that two no-shows without updating your RSVP or providing good reason will result in a member being removed from our Meetup Group.
Meetup Group-only members attend all events at their own risk and Brighton and Sussex Social accepts no liability for any loss or injury resulting from such attendance. Full members do benefit from Club insurance taken out via AIVC.
